In Episode 18 of the Lets Trash Talk podcast, Ed and Sara update a story from the last episode. The FDA has now decided to allow gay men to donate blood as long as they abstain from sex for a minimum of one year. Ed and Sara talk about the Mississippi teen, Jessica Chambers, who was burned alive and how the police have yet to find the perpetrator. Also, the police have created a shirt to counter the ‘I Can’t Breathe’ shirt that has swept the nation of protesters. The shirt says ‘Breathe Easy, Obey The Law’ and seems to be a slap in the face to the untimely death of Eric Garner. Ed and Sara also discuss pitbulls and service animals in general.
The movie, The Interview, has caused a lot of chaos. It depicts an assassination attempt on the life of North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un. North Korea is furious about the premise of this movie. Sony Pictures has been a victim of hackers and bullied into not releasing the film. Many Americans feel this goes against the freedom of speech. Sony eventually backtracked and had a limited theatrical release. They also released the movie on streaming services such as YouTube, Google Play, and Xbox Live. Ed and Sara talk about all the events that occurred with the movie The Interview. All this and more on this episode of the Lets Trash Talk podcast.
